The Heritage Council identity was a project that involved brand design, typography, photography and UX/XI design.
This project involved the re-branding of The Heritage Council. The organisation wanted a brand that was contemporary and that reflected their values and what they stand for.
The concept for the Heritage Council identity shown above is strongly linked with the importance of an emotional
connection felt between the people of Ireland and Irish heritage.
The logo was created with the intention of
representing the nurture and security the council provides for our heritage. The use of the typeface Baskerville and the blues in the colour scheme present a respectful and
traditional visual language, juxtaposed with the
contemporary vibrant pink.
The campaign for the identity revolves around stories. The posters were created with the intention of reminding the viewer that there is a story behind everything, and the viewer can discover the stories about their own local town by taking part in Heritage Week.
This story-telling theme also runs throughout an interactive app in which users can discover stories about their own town.
