Brief

Concept

This was a live project involving the branding of IADT’s Graduate Exhibition. The group project, undertaken by Nadine Kennedy and myself, took place in the three weeks leading up to the 2016 Exhibition. We were required to create an identity for the exhibition and apply this design to print, screen and environmental outcomes.
Influenced by ideas of process, anticipation and excitement, we combined analogue and digital process visuals to create an identity which accurately represents the Institute of Art, Design and Technology. "I Am Doing Things" is an anogram for IADT, but it is also a statement that evokes curiosity and anticipation. This copywriting combined with the visuals intended to create a sense of anticipation, allowing guests to have only a peek or a teaser of what they might expect at the exhibition.

Physical Invitations

We created over 300 invitations in the form of pocket sized notebooks, hoping to encourage people to doodle, sketch and take notes during the exhibition enhancing their own personal experience of the event.

Wayfinding & Signage

Banners

We created a banner that stood outside the college, advertising the exhibition. Additional banners were created which were used as backdrops on the opening evening, some of which remained hanging in the Institute after the exhibition.
